About Christian persecution: Until almost exactly one hundred years ago no Muslim lived in a land which was not the colony of some other land with the sole exception being the Turks who themselves were colonizers through their Ottoman Empire.

With the sole exception of the Ottoman Empire the colonizers were Christians. They justified their colonialism as needed to bring the heathen to Jesus, and they vigorously set out to convert the Muslims. The low rate of success of this venture did little to ease the enduring bad taste this left in the Muslim Mouth.

It is so bloody easy for Christians to behold the mote in the eye of their brethren while ignoring the beam in their own eyes. It may take a nice Jewish man like myself to remind Christians of the words of Jesus.
