I feel like “destination weddings” are kind of a thing of the past — it seems rarer and rarer that people live in the place where they grew up and marry someone from that same place. Probably 60% of the people at my wedding traveled via plane to get there, but it was held in the city where my husband and I live. It seems to be true for most weddings I’ve been to as well.
