Maybe Don’t Buy Toys That Record Everything You Say

Neither here nor there, but the hipster Papa thing leaves me vaguely disgruntled. That’s just what you call your parents in my culture (and many others)! Not a hip thing! My mom is a white American, who I alternate between Mama and Mom, whereas my dad is Latino, who I always call Papa or Papi. My husband and me will probably be Dad and Mama, though the thought of us being called that by humans we ourselves spawned sends chills down my spine.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
