COMM140 residential one; Reflection.

My time learning in COMM140 at residential one was both challenging and rewarding. I realized that i’m not a tech savvy as i originally thought, and that twitter can be beneficial through education and that its not just used to keep up with celebrities.

I found that the scratch program was difficult when you first begin and it takes a while to get the hang of it, but once you get it you’ve more than likely got it for good. It could also be a very useful resource for children when in the classroom as it is both a physical component as well as them having to use their memory to remind themselves how to use the website; also use their brain to figure how to get the sprite from a to b.

When using twitter i found that when i was in my high school years i believed twitter was mainly keeping up with your favorite celebrities and their “gossip”. After having twitter introduced to me through an educational perspective, i realized it could be a useful tool to get ideas and support on how to better yourself not only as a student but as an educator also.

All in all, i am really enjoying the subject so far and look forward to what else it brings.
