Bitcoin hard forks are around the corner
Anyone who is keeping themselves updated about anything related to bitcoin, knows that two more Bitcoin forks are coming within the next month which makes already four blockchains share the same transaction history of the original Bitcoin blockchain. One of the forks is called Bitcoin Gold and the other Segwit2x (Segregated Witness). Bitcoin Gold team thinks ASIC mining is too centralized so their version of Bitcoin tackles that by enabling Bitcoin to be mined with a computers Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). Segwit2x fork protocol is meant to relocate witness inputs from the transaction hash, which will theoretically help malleability and create more block size space. Of course a block size increase to 2MB is following the Segwit2x fork as per community’s demand.
