No get rid of all of the branches and just call it the “US Military”. In this new military have different groups or branches that are simple. Like the “Air Branch” which would have all air units (Air Force, Navy, Marines, Army and Coast Guard” A Sea Branch (Navy/Coast Guard) and finally a Ground Fighting Branch (Army/Marines). One set of ranks, one set of uniforms, ONE LETTER HEAD! Imagine the money that would be saved.

That of course would never happen. Makes a lot of sense but it wont happen.
