Google has recently announced a portable speaker powered by voice assistance technology called Google Home.

Google Home can perform various tasks like answering questions, play music, interact with your Nest thermostat, order flowers, and even check into your flights. Google has also been working with many common companies like Uber, Spotify, OpenTable, Grubhub, Pandora, WhatsApp, Ticketmaster, and Instacart so you can perform tasks straight from Google Home.

Unlike Amazon’s Echo, Google Home allows you to customize the base with a variety of colors to match your home’s style. Google Home also comes with LED lights and a mic.

The possibilities for Google Home are endless. Eventually, we will reside in smart homes, or connected homes, where you will be able to tell Google Home to turn your shower on for you or turn the lights off. It’s not a matter of ‘if’ it’s just a matter of ‘when’.
