This is the ‘Silk Road’ in 30 seconds… the world’s first and largest dark web platform🌍 for selling illegal drugs💊

Because the Silk Road was a darknet market one had to have special software to actually access the Silk Road, which sold drugs like cocaine, LSD, and heroine. The founder, Ross Ulbricht, built the site in 2011; however, the site got shut down and Ulbricht got caught by the FBI 👮🏻 in 2013 to which they seized roughly $28.5 million💰 worth of bitcoin that belonged to Ulbricht who was then 29. As to how he got caught… long story made short he attached his real email (rossulbricht@gmail.com) to an anonymous username that was trying to find out information regarding the currency bitcoin.

At the age of 31 Ulbricht got sentenced to life in prison without parole under conspiracy to commit drug trafficking, money laundering, and computer hacking. Sentencing Ulbricht , who has two college degrees, District Judge Katherine Forrest said he was “no better a person than any other drug dealer”. The judge also mentioned that she used Ulbricht as an example of the harsh consequences that will come from related businesses.

What is your opinion on the verdict of life in prison for Ross Ulbricht?
