Scientists Are Developing A Revolutionary Tablet For The Blind People
Researchers from the University of Michigan recently presented a new prototype tablet Braille. The tablet will allow visually impaired people to read the text in full screen. Tablet is significantly improved over previous devices, where it was shown only one line of Braille.
Led by Professor Dr. Powers O’Modhrain, scientists from the University of Michigan are also planning to add the ability for persons with visual impairment in terms of reading charts, photographs, and other non-text items.
“Unfortunately, we can not do much with a single row. Also, so far can not be read graphs, create tables and so on.”, Said a student from the University of Michigan, Alexander Russomanno. Unfortunately, the current Braille devices are very expensive — one Average unit with single-line stands between 3,000 and 5,000 dollars.
As far as possible the option of reading the text in full screen, there is the price quite high — from $ 55.000 and up. But Dr. O’Modhrain Forces points out that those prices should be accessible in recent times.
