The Highlights of Techfestival
Where 16,000 humans met and explored the impact of technology on our lives.
September 15, 2017: It is the week after the inaugural Techfestival took place here in Copenhagen. We are still overwhelmed, proud and grateful to everyone who made Techfestival happen: more than 400 co-creators hosting meetups, summits, conferences, activities and exhibitions. 300+ speakers sharing their insights.
And a total of more than 16,000 humans from all around the world taking part in the 132 events that initiated Techfestival over six days from September 5–10 in and around Kødbyen, Copenhagen’s iconic Meatpacking District.
Thank you for being part of it.
Together we started a new conversation on progress in technology. We wrote a letter on the values and principles that guide technology. We gave birth to a new international festival that examines the relationship between humans and technology.
All of this due to the breathtaking energy, ambition, creativity and collaborative effort of you who made it happen.
The Copenhagen Letter
During this inaugural Techfestival, a group of 150 accomplished entrepreneurs, senior designers, technologists and philosophers got together to address the extraordinary challenges technology progress poses to our societies and us as humans.
During a 48-hours session named “cph150”, the 150 participants co-authored “The Copenhagen Letter on Tech”, challenging best practices in technology design today. The Copenhagen Letter is published today, Sept 14, and is open to be signed by everyone who shares its views on technology progress.
