Apple sets new record, sold its billionth iPhone last week

Apple has touched a new milestone. The Cupertino based technology giant sold its one-billionth iPhone last week. Earlier analysts were expecting that Apple could touch the number by the end of this month.

Although, the overall iPhone sells has declined over the last quarter, still Apple still holds big numbers in the smartphone space. At an employee meeting this morning in Apple headquarters, CEO Tim Cook has announced that Apple finally crossed the billionth mark last week.
