Last week, Internet giant Google has fired the male engineer at the center of an uproar in Silicon Valley who was responsible for writing a dubious 10-page document named as“Google’s Ideological Echo Chamber” that condemns the search giant for its efforts to endorse diversity and inclusion in its workforce.
James Damore, the male engineer who had worked as a senior software engineer at the Mountain View office since December 2013 has been dismissed for claiming that gender inequality in the tech sector is due to biological differences.
On Monday evening, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai said that “portions of the memo violate our Code of Conduct and cross the line by advancing harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace.”
