Tesla recalling 11,000 Model X SUVs for seat issue

Around 11,000 ‘Model X SUV’s, manufactured in-between 28/10/2016 and 16/08/2017 by Tesla Inc. has been recalled from all over the world due to some manufacturing faults. Although Tesla believes only 3% of the cars might suffer from that issue, the company clearly doesn’t want to take any kind of risk with the safety of its customers.

According to Tesla, the problem involves the vehicles with fold-flat second-row seats. It was discovered in a recent internal testing. The company doubts that some cables in the rear seats may not have been tightened properly. This issue prevents the rear seats from getting locked in properly which can cause the seats to move forward during crashes resulting into some serious damage.
