Yesterday, Intel announced chief data center storage progresses, re-establishing the company’s leadership in memory technology. Intel’s new technologies aim at developments in data center storage. At the same time, these deliver innovative solutions for countering risks concerned with growing data.
Following are the new technologies:
- ‘Ruler’ Form Factor for Intel SSDs — It is an entirely new state drive form factor with solid built. It enables up to 1PB of storage, which can be reserved in a 1U server rack for future usage.
- Intel Optane Technology — It showcases the most advanced dual port profile of the world. Dual port SSDs of both Optane and 3D Nand serve for mission-critical applications.
- Intel is also targeting at the replacement of the concept of HDD. The company’s updated SATA family of SSDs for data center serves for the same.
