LTspice is a free, accurate and computer software used for implementing electronic circuit simulator. It is used in-house at linear technology for IC design.

The first step for making any circuit is to first design it and then verify it and if there is any mistake modify it. And then finally go for PCB designing.

In LTspice we can design various analog circuits schematics and verify it using its simulation tool.

In this post, you will learn how to install LTspice and get started with it.

Guide for installation:

Step 1: Download LTspice file from the below-given website.

Step 2: After downloading “LTspiceIV.exe”, double click on it, to run the installation. After you double click, you will see below-given window.

Step 3: Now click on the “Accept” button. As you will click on accept you will see it takes the file location automatically.

Step 4: Now click on “Install Now” button. As you click on it, you will see below window.

Click on “OK”.

Step 5: As you click on OK, you will see that installation has started. Now, wait till it completes. It will take 15–20 minutes to install.

Step 6: After the installation is completed, you will see the below window.

Now click on “OK”.

Step 7: You will see that LTspice icon is created on the desktop, and you will see some window pop up as given below.

You are seeing that there is a prompt to, update now. So, now click on “yes”. Make sure you are connected to the internet. If the prompt keeps on coming then you can click on “no”.

Step 8: After updating you will see a window as below. This is your LTspice window, where you will be creating your projects.

Now you will wonder how to create a project. Wait for our next post, we will tell you how to create projects.
