McAfee WebAdvisor is a technical application that helps ensure that the website you are visiting is safe and free of malware. As part of McAfee Total Protection, McAfee WebAdvisor searches the entire site and checks for malware and spam. It is also possible to install it as a stand-alone program; in other words, even if you don’t have McAfee Anti-Virus installed on your computer, you can install McAfee WebAdvisor on it.

Although installing McAfee provides adequate protection against many types of malware, it can also interfere with the installation of specific applications or detect false positives in relation to trusted software.   • Browse the folder for SiteAdvisor.
  • Unzip the uninstall.tgz document by double-clicking the exact same thing.
  • Follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall.
