All great points! It’s simple when I work on my own apps (although it would be really nice if Apple would provide notifications of new App Store reviews so I don’t someone’s review a year too late), but on a client project, I’m never sure what they want me to handle or what they want to handle. And even in a small company, too many people get involved, and they don’t necessarily have a good feel for what’s going on with the App Store.

You’re right about localization. I sort of regretted adding new language versions of my app descriptions because then I have to supply corresponding versions of each app update note, and I usually wimp out and just use the English version for each (Apple doesn’t complain). An alternative is to just use some boilerplate for every language except English.

At least there isn’t a restrictive text length, like there is for the new iOS 11 subtitle field (and the new promo text field, I think). If you max out those fields in English, I bet you’re going to have trouble with the German version!
