I believe this is generally true. The App Store reply feature is still relatively new, but in the past, for example, one customer kept giving me 1-star reviews on the App Store, and when I replied to one of his complaining posts on Facebook or YouTube, he started giving me five-star reviews. Also, I suspect once users see developer responses on the App Store (as has been true on Google Play already), they’ll be less impusively inclined to blast off with a 1-star rant.
