With the new release, comes a standard question, should I buy it or not? and, as you may have guessed it. The answer doesn't seem to be simple and straightforward. Rather, it varies, from person to person. In this article, I’ll discuss who is this iPhone really for. Who should buy it? and who should completely avoid it! So, with that said, let’s get straight into the details.

So, before going straight to the conclusion, let’s take a look at some of the specs. They tell a lot about themselves. The iPhone 14 comes with the A16 Bionic chip, with one additional graphic card.

On the Camera front, there's a lot going on, it got larger sensors, a new image processing pipeline called the Photonic Engine, the cinematic mode films 4K, instead of 1080p, and lets you capture super-stabilized videos, at least as Apple says, but for a normal user, you probably won’t notice any difference as compared to 13 Pro.

There’s no iPhone 14 Mini, and, as far as the Pro models are concerned, the major changes are the size and the extended battery.

So, who is it really for?

If you are into Gaming, go for it. It’s a solid choice, you are getting an additional graphic card, with a 120Hz refresh rate, highly unlikely that you will be disappointed.

If you care for Battery Life, the iPhone 14 Pro completely makes sense, even, it could be the sole reason why one might consider the upgrade.

If you are a content creator, using the iPhone 14, to film your videos, then upgrading to iPhone 14, should come as a no-brainer. For a normal user, you really need to think, twice!

Who should not upgrade?

If you are happy with your iPhone, don’t think about the new iPhone, just because iPhone has really a new one, doesn't mean you have to upgrade.

Regardless of how lucrative the features are, the upgrade from iPhone 13 is not justified, at least not on paper. But those willing to upgrade from iPhone 12 or older, can consider the upgrade, with all the upgrades you are also getting, 2 passive features i.e Emergency SOS via Satellite and Crash Detection.

Conclusion:

The iPhone 14, comes with its own pros and its own cons, as a potential buyer, you should consider the features you want, and thus shall take an informed decision, based on your budget and requirements.
