Why does Apple include stickers with their products?
While it may seem an obvious thing, Apple products must come with a sticker. But it was not always the case. Even, now rather than just putting black and white stickers, Apple moved one step ahead and added several new colors.
For example: With the release of the M1 24-inch iMac in 2021, Apple added several new colors to the Mac line and each of them has a personalized sticker.
Why the stickers were needed?
During earlier years, IBM was taking over the computer room, and the stickers indicated that you could support Apple, even though they were a much smaller company than IBM.
Apple introduced stickers, as a genuine way for their loyal customers, to express their love for the company’s products, through word of mouth.
Who were the primary users of Apple Stickers?
The stickers were mainly used by two kinds of people:
- By their loyal followers, who want to express their trust and love towards the company.
2. By the people, who wanted to look “cool”.
Regardless, of what the reason was, it gave Apple a few amazing advantages:
- When one’s friends and family members talk about a particular product, it generates more trust as compared to any commercial.
- When one, see so many people using Apple stickers around them, it created social proof that people are proud to be Apple user.
- Those stickers, resulted in, free advertising for Apple. It helped them attract more eyeballs, and in getting more publicity.
