“Meditate on death daily”
— My father (Augustine Paz)
That’s my dad’s mantra for life. But he’s the absolute opposite of a pessimist or doomsayer. The saying is a submission to that which you cannot control, death, and embraces the fragility of life. Because nothing is for certain, appreciate everything. Seize the opportunities that you can, but don’t fret over the ones you can’t.
An epiphany is a blessing no matter what form it comes in, or how little sense it makes to anyone else.
