Why the rush to trade a RFA though?

It’s not like Philly is going to be cap crunched. There is no way Noel expected or would get a max deal.

Why not just resign him to a market deal? Doesn’t he become an even more desirable trade target in that case?

…Or were they worried about an outside offer sheet?
