I think I do my best work in the mornings, so I try to clear time then to do the work too.
[…] and try to consolidate meetings to the afternoon.

This is a huge sign, to me, that the meeting is one that I should avoid at all costs (unless it’s a 1-on-1 meeting).

If it’s not worth my full attention and energy then I try to think thrice about attending — especially if it’s a decision meeting, hiring or something else that can have a big impact.
