Gentrification and Ghost Towns

This is one of the best political/sociological pieces I’ve read lately. Though I suspect “education,” as used here, is just a PC way of saying “intelligence.” The economic reality — which is the foundation of the political reality — is that very many people of all colors and ethnic backgrounds are not equipped to compete in the Brave New Economy. What we “liberals” do need to be concerned about is that everyone, not just the smart people, have an economic status that allows them to purchase things like food and housing and also self-respect. This would seem to be an issue where Trump supporters and Sanders supporters could see eye to eye.
