So, you lost your job? Here’s how I handled my recent unemployment.

I found there’s only so many hours a day you can spend looking for a new job. But your mind thinks you should be looking for a job constantly. At first you may be able to come up with eight hours of time working on a new job. After a while there’s rarely 4 hours of productive time you can spend on the hunt. So commit yourself to those times, and then grant yourself the right to do whatever you want outside that time. Once you’re working you may not get an afternoon or morning off for months, so enjoy this time off and allow yourself the freedom to spend it without having to wonder why you’re not working on that new job.
