One you identify your “tendency” — obliger, rebel, questioner or upholder — you can figure out how to create a system that will keep you on track. Hopefully that helps.
For me, my resoultion is to continue a habit I started, stopped and started again in 2015: Meditation. I’m now on Day 36 of my streak and I’ve noticed a major difference. I recommend it to anyone.
