News flash: You ARE wrong.

In his prime, Chris Paul is waaaaaaay better than Kyrie’s best season, but that ship has sailed. Chris Paul is 32, with thousands of minutes on his odometer. He is noticeably step slower on both offense and defense. Plus, he’s had major injuries already. Whereas Kyrie hasn’t even hit his prime yet and he is still growing as a player and leader, but he already has 3 Finals appearances and a ring. Chris Paul hasn’t even tasted the conference finals yet.

Sometimes people forget Irving is only 25, but it felt like he’s been around for ages because of playing till June the last 3 years. I would take Kyrie over Paul now anyday. But 2 years ago? Not a chance.

It would be interesting to see Kyrie reach his ceiling as a basketball player without Lebron.

(I hope he ends up with the Knicks just to see the KI/KP show at the Big Apple. This coming from a Mavs fan.)
