Trending Tees: January 6th, 2017

Here we are at the end of July, but we’re still just barely over a month into summer. The tee trends keep rolling in, and here we are, reporting them. Take a break with these — you owe yourself.

Star Wars — It’s a huge era for Star Wars. The Force Awakens ruled the world late last year. And now Rogue One is just a few months off too, and Episode VIII just finished shooting. And there’s even more spinoffs on the way, including a young Han Solo movie, which just cast its lead. It’s never too early to get hyped, as these trending Star Wars tees show.

Daredevil — Daredevil took the world by storm as the Marvel Cinematic Universe got incredibly dark from last year on. Season 3 was just announced, and The Defenders, crossing over with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, was teased at San Diego Comic-Con last week. You’ll look daring in these trending tees.

South Park — They’re rude, they’re crude, they’re raunchy, they’re confused. Though not as much as the adults. That pretty much sums up the kids of South Park. The show’s nearing 20 years now, and the tees live on.

The Big Lebowski — The Dude abides. And you’ll abide too in these trending Big Lebowski tees. This Coen Brothers film is another all-time classic. And we could all stand to be more like Jeff Bridges.

Scarface — And last, trending this week are also tees from the Al Pacino classic, Scarface. You’ll want to say hello to these not-always-little t-shirts.

South Park — We like Cheesy Poofs, you like Cheesy Poofs, if you don’t eat- oh, wait, we’re talking about South Park t-shirts. And they’re trending once again. Don’t miss out, dudes.

Super Saiyan — Looks like you guys have been in the mood for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z t-shirts this week. So in the mood, in fact, that you’ve gone Super Saiyan. Or, at least, you’ve got the t-shirts trending for just that.

Dr. Seuss — Think the Cat in the Hat is where it’s at? Perhaps a little Lorax or Grinch or Yertle? We’ve got these trending tees, which you can use to pretend you’re a turtle.

The Office — It’s been years since The Office ended, but its popularity still endures. Perhaps you’re a Michael Scott, a Jim, a Pam, or even, just maybe, a Dwight Schrute. We’ve got these trending tees to help you get through the workday.

Deeper and deeper into October, and a recent hurricane past, here we are again. Trending t-shirts, at last.

Star Wars — Once again, Star Wars is back at the top. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is getting closer by the day, and these tees from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away are trending like crazy.

He-Man — Hey, what’s going on? Oh, right, these classic cartoon He-Man and the Masters of the Universe t-shirts are trending in a big way again. Myahh.

Invader Zim — Election Day’s right around the corner too, and what better way to celebrate how doomed we are with these trending Invader Zim t-shirts? Zim made a big comeback last year with a hit ongoing revival in comic book form, picking up where the popular Nickelodeon cartoon left off years ago. And if you’re in a doom-filled mood, you won’t find t-shirts better.

U2 — U2? Yes, you too can rock out in these trending U2 t-shirts. Add a little Edge to your wardrobe.

GI Joe — And we end the week’s trending tees with another classic cartoon in GI JOOOOOEEEEEEE. Dress yourself like an American hero in these tees. Knowing is half the battle.

Star Wars — Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally sees home release in a few days, and once again, Star Wars hype is through the roof. Don’t miss these tees once again trending from a galaxy far, far away.

Nintendo — And just yesterday, Nintendo launched their first mobile app, Miitomo, and searches for their classic gaming brand are buzzing as trending tees again. Let’s all celebrate gaming history with these tees.

Pink Floyd — There’s classic rock, and then there’s Pink Floyd. As long as there are people to listen, their music will always be appreciated. And judging by this trend, ditto for these tees.

Peanuts — Speaking of timeless subjects trending once again: Charles Schulz’s Peanuts. Still fresh off a first theatrical film a few months ago in late 2015, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the gang are beloved as ever. Let’s wax nostalgic with these tees.

Sixteen Candles — And for even more nostalgia, we’ve got a trip back to the ’80s with these trending John Hughes tees. If you are here, you’ll want to see these tees.

Midway through November. Time keeps flying and the temperatures keep dropping. It’ll be Thanksgiving before we know it. Of course, you realize, we’re thankful for trending t-shirts.

Star Wars — With mid-November here already, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story draws closer by the day. And with Episode VIII and further spin-offs on the horizon, it’s an exciting time to be a Star Wars fan. Plus, nobody’s mentioned midichlorians so far. Anyway, as Rogue One hype continues to mount, these Star Wars tees are trending once again.

Metroid — Nintendo’s Metroid series is one of the oldest and most beloved sci-fi action series in the history of video games. After a several year break, the franchise began a new comeback with Metroid Prime: Federation Force on the 3DS in August. And that comeback may well continue on the Switch after the console releases in March next year. Fans of bounty hunter Samus Aran’s space pirate and alien blasting adventures have these fantastic tees trending. If you’re a fan of saving the galaxy, you won’t want to miss out.

Gears of War — Another popular sci-fi action game series is trending this week too, in Microsoft’s Gears of War series, which debuted and had its first three entries on the Xbox 360, and most recently, Gears of War 4 released on the Xbox One in the past couple of months. If you’re keen to show your fondness to blasting alien monsters as the badass Marcus Fenix, these are the trending tees for you.

Spider-Man — This past summer, Spider-Man made his long-awaited debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain Aemrica: Civil War, and practically stole the excellent movie. And next year, he’s finally got his first full-on Marvel Cinematic Universe movie coming in Spider-Man: Homecoming. You’ll want to wear these trending tees to the premiere.

The Joker — What would Batman be without the Joker? In need of even more compelling villains, an ultimate nemesis in particular, for sure. And he just had his own new incarnation a few months ago in Suicide Squad, as portrayed by Jared Leto. Let out your inner madness in these trending Joker tees.

October is here, and there’s nothing to fear, as it’s the end of the week and trending t-shirts are here. Though given that Halloween’s at the end of the month, maybe there are things to fear.

Star Wars — It’s been the better part of a year since The Force Awakens blew the world’s minds. And now we’re just over two months from Rogue One. Star Wars is back in amazing form. And these frequently trending tees show how eternal the hype is.

Halloween Costume — We’ve mentioned it’s October now. Did you notice? Because it is. And it’s never too early to start looking for Halloween costumes. Unsurprisingly, Halloween costume t-shirts are a trending search already. It really is never too early to get spooky.

My Neighbor Totoro — As anime goes, Studio Ghibli movies are among the msot memorable and acclaimed of all time. Hayao Miyazaki has touched the world in a way that could best be compared to Walt Disney in his influence. And this week, one of Studio Ghibli’s most memorable films, My Neighbor Totoro, is among this week’s trending t-shirts.

The Mighty Thor — It’s been another huge year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but like the Hulk, Thor was missing in action. Not for much longer, however, as Thor: Ragnarok, the third of his solo superhero movies, hits theaters in less than a month. And there’s nothing mightier than these trending Thor tees.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — And last, we cap off this week’s totally tubular trending tees with these boss Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tees. You’re gonna end up feeling pretty gnarly — depending on your interpretation of the word — if you miss out on these. Cowabunga. Reaganomics.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is finally so close we can almost taste it. Or sense it. Something powerful and metaphysical, through some means that were never caused by midichlorians. Yes, it’s almost as if there’s some kind of Force that’s moving us to be enthralled by the long-awaited return of Star Wars. Also, it’s compelling us to share these Star Wars t-shirts. It’s what we do, after all.

It’s June at last and summer’s right around the corner. It’s heating up all over now, and you know what that means — t-shirt weather! No time better for trending tees.

The Legend of Zelda — Dun dun dun dunnnn! There’s a treasure trove of Legend of Zelda tees trending this week for the Nintendo fan in you.

Star Wars — We’re more than half a year out from The Force Awakens, but less than half a year out now from Rogue One. It’s an exciting time to be a Star Wars fan, and only getting more exciting. As usual, Star Wars tees are trending, their popularity perpetual.

Seinfeld — It’s been nearly two decades now since the show about nothing wrapped, but it’s remained a timeless all-time favorite sitcom with a cultural impact few sitcoms manage. That timelessness is reflected, of course, in these tees trending once again.

The Mighty Thor — Though he was absent in Captain America: Civil War, we’ll be seeing more Thor in the current phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe sooner than later, with a November 2017 release announced for Thor: Ragnarok. Never too early to get psyched with these trending tees.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou — And in a surprise trend this week, we have avant-garde t-shirts themed with Wes Anderson’s classic 2005 art house comedy, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Bill Murray is always a trending topic.

It’s finally here — the week of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. At long last, so long after the prequels, the first of the sequels, with so much of the original cast returning, is about to arrive. Our old friend Admiral Ackbar might warn us, “It’s a trap!” That’s right, he’s back for Meme Monday.

Of course, in this case, nothing here warrants warning. J.J. Abrams looks to have hit the sweet spot in classic ‘70s/’80s sci-fi nostalgia along with everything you’d want in a modern sci-fi classic. Perhaps we’ll see our favorite Mon Calamari return yet?

Moviegoing audiences fell in love with The LEGO Movie a couple of years back, but anyone who saw it can attest to that Will Arnett’s hilarious LEGO Batman stole the movie. And thanks to that, we now have The LEGO Batman Movie in theaters, which has been heralded as the funniest and one of the very best Batman movies yet. As such, naturally, we’re hyped for these LEGO t-shirts, and we think you will be, too.
