(ps, I don’t like or dislike Cam Newton — no opinion, not a football fan… My husband… another story) I have cringed at seeing so many of these guys in front of the camera sounding and behaving less than professional. They could very well use acting, elocution and even some other classes such as understanding body language and other non-verbal signs of communication. They are paid a LOT of money to be THEMSELVES. Their job, along with perfecting their craft (athletics) is to sell themselves — endorsements, color-commentation… hello! There’s a gap that most of them have to fill. You don’t always get to show your true emotions. Cam knows that (players learn that EARLY — at least to some degree) he just didn’t go the distance well enough on Sunday on or off the field.
