Drone Attacks, A Question Mark on our Country’s Sovereignty and how to stop them through the latest technological breakthroughs

How can somebody else come in our country and target our citizens without any regard for the loss of human life. Indeed these drone strikes are an out and out violation of international law. I would like to ask who gave America the permission to target our country’s citizens. The people who are killed through these drone attacks are not only terrorists. Indeed many a time innocent people are also killed through these attacks. The US claims that it a by-product of eliminating terrorism. I would like to tell the US that it has not acquired the consent of the United Nations to conduct these strikes. An attack against a sovereign nation without the consent of the UN is equivalent to declaration of war against that sovereign nation. This is why the United Nations Human Rights Council has severely criticized the US for its actions and have urged to the US to become more transparent about this program.

These drone attacks have had a very negative impact on Pakistan especially among the people of Waziristan. The people of Waziristan have to perpetually live in a state of constant fear. In addition to that the attacks have had a very negative impact on the local economy, as investors are unwilling to invest inside Pakistan especially the tribal areas. This has resulted in decline in the economy which is creating a social malaise in the country.

However all is not lost as there are ways now to destroy these drones. I would like to discuss one such way over here. The new Drone Defender uses radio pulses to disable a hostile drone within a 400-meter radius.

These pulses interrupt the communications system of the drone, making it think it is out of range. The drone’s safety protocols then kick in, forcing it to either hover, return to its point of origin, or descend slowly as it prepares to land. Because the weapon jams communication with the nearby operator, the Drone Defender also can prevent detonation and other remote functions. In addition to that the radio jamming system is mounted to a gun chassis that makes the anti-drone weapon lightweight (10 lbs or less) and easy-to-use.

It is designed to fire within 0.1 seconds of startup and can operate for five hours straight. So by using this technology the problem of drones can at-least be minimized if not eliminated.
