After reading this blog you will get the right idea of where to invest your money & make the right choice. I will add some following key points that should every buyer look for it & make their ideal buy.

Processor

In simple language, a processor is a chip that will execute all the tasks that you will perform on your machine or laptop. So now, you got to know about the importance of processor in the laptop so there are two famous processors are available in market AMD & Intel.

AMD vs Intel

Intel

  1. If you want to buy Intel processor laptops, you should always buy the latest generation laptop of Intel current is 11th generation although you can purchase the previous generations to i.e. is 10th but don’t buy older than that.
  2. Must avoid comparing New generation vs Old generation because mostly in all cases New generation laptop will give an outstanding performance e.g.
HP 14 11th Gen Intel Core i5 Processor vs ASUS VivoBook 14 (2020) Intel Core i5–1035G1 10th Gen.
  3. While short-listing a laptop compares its model numbers with the latest processors e.g.
    Intel I7–10750H vs Ryzen 7 5800H.
  4. Intel chips perform better at single-core performance, i.e. it will give a pleasant experience when you perform only a single task but not in multitasking compared to AMD chips.
  5. Intel processors are expensive compare to AMD processors.

AMD

  1. In 2017 AMD launched its successful chipset from then to till now, it’s giving tough competition to Intel & as result, it quickly suppressed Intel chips in sales because of its affordable price & powerful experience than intel.
  2. Same for Ryzen if you want to buy that laptop the current generation is now, available in the 5000 series, I will always recommend buying the latest series or previous series if you don’t have the option don’t buy older than that.
  3. Now, the latest series is the 5000th series previous series is 4000th & older than this is the 3000th Don’t invest in this series it’s a regrettable choice.
  4. Ryzen chips give you value for money performance.
  5. Ryzen chips perform well at multi-core performance compared with intel chips, i.e. They will easily handle multitasking work easily & efficiently.

Common points that you should know about processors

  1. When you browse for laptops in e-commerce websites like Amazon & Flipkart, you have seen the there is H or U at end of the laptop names e.g.
    4600H, 5700U in ryzen laptops or i7–10750H, i5–1135G7.
  2. H-based processors laptops is built for giving the powerful performance, so battery usage is not a priority & U-based processors laptops give you good battery backup so as per your priority you can choose the processor that you want
    for example.
H based processor laptop will give you 4 to 3 hours battery backup but performing the laptop will excellent U-based processor laptop will give you 8 to 15 hours battery backup.

I will conclude here on processors if you want more information on this topic let me know in the comment section. Now, let’s move ahead to the next point, i.e. GPU.

GPU (Graphical Processing Unit)

If GPU is present in a laptop, it will work as a teammate for CPU, i.e. Tasks like Rendering video & graphics, playing games that contain higher graphic visuals for such types of tasks it will execute fast compared to CPU.

So If you are a content creator, gamer and mostly work on that required GPU. You buy that laptop that contains GPU. Now, all you have is one question which graphic card is good for us.

So I will add some points that will help you choose which graphic card you should invest in.
1. If you have a low budget & want a graphic card on your laptop buy any AMD laptop because it contains an inbuilt graphic card.
for example, Ryzen 3 series laptops are available in the market.

  1. If you have a medium budget, you can expect a dedicated graphics card in your laptop plus u can do low FPS gaming & perform tasks like video editing, Blender, or graphic designing.
for example, the Nvidia Geforce GTX series.
  2. If you have a high budget, you can expect excellent performance from GPU you can get High FPS & Video rendering will fast than lower GPU series laptops, for example, the Nvidia Geforce RTX series & RTX 3000 series this is the latest GPU series by Nvidia.

Now, move to another feature that you must know!

RAM (Random access memory)

Photo by Liam Briese on Unsplash

RAM works as short-term memory in the laptop it will store the memory for that time i.e. remembers the applications that you are using in that instance, for example, surfing a website, playing games, watching movies/web series, etc. It’s just remembering that task for that instance only so technical word we called it as volatile memory.

Now, Let’s see which type of RAM is good for us!

  1. The standard type of RAM sold at present time is DDR4 RAM so always go for that laptop that contains this type of RAM or even higher than if it’s present.
  2. The minimum amount of RAM required for an ideal user like us is 8 GB & if you want your laptop to be future proof upgrade to 16 GB it’s efficient but if you have a good budget, you can expand it furthermore if & only if your laptop supports that much for verifying that you can call to your laptop customer care service.
  3. Always choose the laptop with dual-channel i.e. it contains two slots of RAM & if you want to upgrade your RAM in your laptop after buying go to a nearby company allowed store near you because if you do it by yourself in warranty period your warranty period will get void.

Now, let’s shift to the last feature !!!

Storage

The name itself defines its work storing the files, images, videos & documents, etc. In technical words, we also know it as ROM (Read Only Memory) & it’s opposite to RAM that why we call it non-volatile memory.

Before we move to which storage option is good for us I want to clear some points you need to know before buying a laptop there are 2 types of storage are available in the market.

HDD & SSD

HDD

  1. HDD (Hard disk drive) is affordable than SSD but not fast as compared to SSD.
  2. HDD is a good option if you have tons of information only for storing.
  3. It will take time to boot up your laptop if you only have an HDD on the laptop & execution time will be slow compare to SSD.

SSD

  1. SSD (Solid State Drive) is faster than HDD but expensive compared to HDD.
  2. SSD is a good option when you want to save your time because it will boot up your laptop in 5 to 10 seconds & In MacBook, it will open in seconds.
  3. SSD is a good option in the current time in the next points I will suggest some delightful combinations that will give you the perfect choice.

Now, we will see which storage option is good for us!

Now, days mostly storage option contains following types of combination:
1. Low budget storage options:
i. 1 TB HDD
ii. 256 GB SSD / 128 GB SSD

2. Medium & High budget storage option:
i. 1 TB HDD + 256 GB SSD
ii. 512 SSD
iii. 1 TB SSD / 2 TB SSD (Mostly available for any top-end laptop)

3. If you want to make the ideal choice I will suggest HDD + SSD hybrid storage while purchasing because SSD will work on Local Disk C i.e. where your os will be installed & it will works fast also boot up will be fast & HDD is use for storing your data But if you have a high budget you can spend on 1TB SSD.

That’s it for now, If you want more information on any feature or have some doubt let me know in the comment section. If you found this article helpful share it with your friends, family & colleagues who are going to purchase their laptop & don’t want to miss these valuable suggestions before buying their ideal laptop.

In the future, I will provide the best laptop’s recommendation in each type of budget section low to high & Laptop’s review too. So do not forget to follow us for more updates.
