Embedded SIM (eSIM) technology is changing how our devices are connected to mobile networks by providing a flexible and convenient alternative to traditional physical SIM cards. Activating your smartphone’s eSIM card can be simple or complex (depending on which type of phone you have). Here is an article that guides readers through the steps needed to activate an eSIM device on popular phones such as iPhone, Samsung and Pixels.

iPhone:

The process of activating eSIM is quite simple and straightforward for iPhone users. Ensure that you have iOS 12.1 or later running on your device then proceed to “Settings” where you select “Cellular” options then tap on “Add Cellular Plan”. Use your iPhone’s camera to scan the QR code supplied by your carrier instead. Beneficially, one may opt for entering them manually, especially when they choose “Enter Details Manually”.

After adding the eSIM profile, you may select it as your primary one if you are using two SIM cards on an iPhone. Restart your phone so that activation can be completed; afterwards, it will be possible to access data services such as voice and internet from the cellular company’s network via the eSIM.

Samsung Gаlaхy/ Android:

eSIM is your primary SIM customisation supported by Sаmsung Gаlaхy рhоnes including the new Galaxy S Series. To activate еSIM head over to “Settings,” then “Connections” and finally “SIM card manager.” You need to press on “Add mobile plan” and then select “Add using QR code”. Scan the given QR code from your carrier or enter an activation code. After adding this plan choose it either as your main card or set up dual SIM preferences based on what is necessary for you. Now, restart the device and enjoy eSIM connectivity.

Google’s Pixel:

On Google’s Pixel 3 and newer, eSIM activation is an easier task for all Pixel users. Under “Settings”, go to “Network & Internet”, and click on “Mobile networks”. In “Advanced”, pick “Carrier” and then select “Add carrier”. You can either use your Pixel phone’s cameras for reading QRs or manually input info entered by your carrier. Make sure that if this has been done, configure one SIM as the main SIM in some instances where necessary. Check the status of eSIM activation by restarting the device.

Getting an eSIM to work with one of the well-known smartphones is meant to be very easy. This means that you no longer have to have a physical SIM card if you want to stay online whenever you want. For iPhone, Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel users, it is now possible to enjoy more freedom while using their phones through this transition to eSIM technology.
