Well nothing. Sony has been staying on the low since really long due to immense fail in the market. This time with the XPERIA series it tried again! Another try to climb up the market however nothing really changed.

Like always Xperia is a huge phone again, we don’t think the company realizes that big cells are not a thing anymore. Is it still 90’s? Well hello Sony wake up! Sony’s longstanding “don’t really care about ergonomics” attitude toward design is still here, and it starts with large bezels on both ends of the display and barely-rounded corners. It’s something not everyone would want to own. The customer wants have eventually changed and the thinner the better is legit what we all look for. Who would want to carry that big phone in pocket Or small bag? It is more like an advanced version of calculator. No offense Sony.

The phone doesn’t seem to be a design that appeals to a wide enough audience. Moreover, the phone is not rational at all.

With Sony’s heritage in sound quality there’s of course a 3.5 mm headphone jack here, too, which sadly is becoming something we actually have to point out. Sony talks a lot about its audio tuning on its website, including its high-res output, automatic headphone adjustments and compatibility with its Digital Noise Cancelling headphones. But it’s hardly an audiophile.

Even though sony tried to level as much as possible with better screen, resolution and battery life but still it lacks main elements such as THE FINGER PRINT SENSATION in United States of America.

The exact same model packing the biometric authentication process everywhere else in the world. With the announcement of the Xperia XZ Premium and XZs, Sony once again has a couple of alluring phones. And even though it seems to have made good points in terms of cameras , watch and a few other pain points, this one issue still plagues it. For whatever reason, Sony cannot bring a phone to the U.S. with a functioning fingerprint sensor hence what a fail? No convenience for the USA citizens at all. Sad news. What’s worse than getting a $799 phone and not being able to use the basic feature? AT ALL. However you can use the same feature- finger print just by buying a $199 phone. Well what a bummer.

BOTTOM LINE an extremely expensive phone with still so much of work left to do!
