The Telos Foundation is a promotional and funding body, dedicated to advancing the Telos Blockchain Network. The aim of the Telos Foundation is to provide grants to groups promoting necessary network functions that cannot or are not otherwise supported by worker proposals.
The Telos Foundation was formed in December 2018 at the same time the Telos Blockchain Network was launched. The Telos Blockchain network is a third generation blockchain network designed for high speed, secure transactions serving industry, business, enterprise, IoT, AI, TTOs and STOs.
With a focus on encouraging the creative and innovative communities that utilize the EOSIO base software, the Foundation officially launched its grant program and began accepting applications in May of 2019. The Foundation has selected the developer of Dmail to be the very first recipient for the May 2019 cycle. Dmail is an application with the potential to enhance the UX of many other applications launching on the Telos Network. Dmail is a privacy focused email application expected to deploy in Q3 of 2019.
Currently, blockchain applications can only interact with users through the application itself or through the cumbersome mechanism of the memo field on a signed transaction. Dmail changes this by interfacing with any application and allowing it to send users rich text information. Dmail offers other advantages over traditional email including: easy verification of sender accounts, not requiring private user information, anti-spam mechanism via the Dmail token and with deployment on the Telos blockchain, access is secure, decentralized and immutable.
The 100,000 TLOS grant will be used to deploy and host Dmail on the network, marketing initiatives, onboarding new users and future features.

The Telos Foundation is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization established as a promotional and funding body to advance the Telos Blockchain Network and provide support to network functions that are not funded in other ways.
