#30DaysWritingChallenge
Day 4: Write about someone who inspires you.

As expected, I have a number of people who inspire me but I’ve narrowed it down to a person who’s currently deeply inspiring me now, Juliet Obi.
I met Juliet at my first ever exposure to IPSF, the Leaders In Training Event held in IUO, July 2016 and even though I didn’t know it then, she was the Chairperson for Professional Development.
I remember attending the session she facilitated and thinking to myself, ‘Oh my God, Wow! This girl’s got it’. She was remarkable tbh and after that session, a new friendship was born. I wanted what she got. I wanted to do better at a profession I hardly had any interest in just moments before (LiT was a quick detour from a really cool internship I had snagged in Abuja at the time). And that’s how IPSF started for me. That’s how Juliet carried out her ChairPerson for Professional Development duties in my life and destiny that day, that a little over a year later, I ran for CP. And won… guess what my campaign theme centered on?

Juliet is as cool as they come really; smart and funny, articulate, level headed (she’s outchea doing the major things on my 5 year plan like it’s nothing as complicated as grating okro)and that’s why she’s so fun to watch.
I think what I like most about Juliet is that she’s ready to sacrifice for people, irrespective of the fact that they’ve done nothing to deserve it; that she’s always willing to share wisdom and proffer advice in a non prescriptive way so she doesn’t ruin your flavor; and she lets you know real quick why some thing won’t work before you go hurt yourself.
Fun fact: the evening of the day we met, she bought me Coca~Cola. I didn’t ask or beg, she just bought me Coca~Cola without even asking what I’d have because she knew… she just knew!
The only snag is that she likes cats. She baby sits one and I wonder when she would just leave it in a metro somewhere.
