Quickly becoming one of the leaders at PSG with players like Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, and Gianluigi Donnarumma explains plenty about him. Being born in March 2006, the 17-year-old Frenchman has already captained the U-21 France National team.

Now becoming a regular starter for PSG at that age shows his talent, hard work, and work ethic. Advancing through the UCL group stages, he will surely become one of the youngest players to debut in the elimination stages, putting his name alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, and Karim Benzema.

Having inherited valuable skills from his former footballer father, Zaïre-Emery developed a practical ability at a young age. Recalling his father’s advice about the importance of quickly tying shoelaces in the absence of parental assistance, the youngest-ever player for Paris St-Germain shared, “My dad always said that I had to learn to tie my shoes quickly because he wouldn’t be in the dressing room with me, and the coach wouldn’t do it for me.” Consequently, he mastered the skill early on, even extending his helpful nature to tying his teammates’ laces. Displaying versatility on the field, the midfielder made 31 appearances for his childhood club in the previous season, setting a record as the youngest player to participate in the Champions League’s knockout stages.

Primarily deployed at the base of midfield, Zaïre-Emery’s exceptional technical prowess suggests a potential transition to a more advanced position as his career advances. Thierry Henry, recognizing his leadership qualities, appointed him captain in his debut for France’s under-21 side. With such promising achievements, a debut for the senior national team seems imminent for the talented midfielder.
