Thanks Eugene. In the comments and conversation I had so far on this topic, I am slowly moving to your point of view. I think you are right that a focus on potential disruptive attacks can be done within 3 horizons framework. Indeed, much of the work done in the 3rd horizons is a focus on nascent/emerging markets types of disruption, and then the focus of adjacent innovation can be to go down market as well.
My struggle is in raising awareness. I think that in all discussion of the three horizons within every company, part of the conversation should be about covering disruptive threat….
