An Update on the Plans for a Cosmos DEX

Greetings! As launch looms closer and Game of Stakes begins, we want to give an update on the Cosmos software development roadmap and specifically the DEX software roadmap.

Following launch of the Cosmos Hub mainnet, Tendermint will be building IBC and Ethermint modules for the Cosmos SDK. We will also build the core software infrastructure to hardspoon any ERC-20 distributions into Cosmos zones as part of the EVM integration into the SDK.

In addition, Tendermint is committed to building open-source software for a general purpose decentralized exchange. We have already started working on the specifications and will implement the DEX software as soon as IBC is complete. The Cosmos DEX software will provide a starting point for implementing any DEX designs on the Cosmos SDK.

Tendermint is a software development company specializing in distributed systems. Tendermint can potentially provide support to anyone who wants to launch a zone or hardspoon. However, Tendermint does not plan to launch or operate any of its own blockchains or DEXs at this time.
