Having spent a few years now to think about this, and coming from a background of 2 decades in internet technology innovation, I think we have to take this topic with great caution. There is always the risk of “spiritual materialism” and somehow it seems that this article mostly focus on ideas that are gateways to that direction.
For example, Samadhi meditation is a mind training technology that have been used successfully 2,500 years. There is nothing Internet can do to make it better. There is no need to make it better. I have never met a person who committed to even 5 minutes of Samadhi practice per day, and came back saying “it does not work”.
Technology innovation focused on developing people’s egos by giving an impression that everything can be prepackaged and served through some modern gadget or gimmick, should never be confused with Buddhist innovation.
