Seeking Sex Guru (w4m)
I was in the midst of ending a long relationship. Sex had been a big problem. I was debriefing with a girlfriend about it, and she told me that she'd heard there was a sex guru in San Francisco. I didn't expect I'd be able to locate him, but I liked the idea.
A sex guru. Someone who was an expert. Someone to study with. Intentional and open practice. Yes. Practice.
Naturally, I turned to Craigslist. I was unemployed for a stretch and had a lot of free time. Posting stuff to Craigslist is a pretty good way to entertain yourself. So, I put the following up for about 24 hours.

OK. Maybe sex guru is a bit much… here’s the deal…I am a smart, funny, and attractive 30 year-old woman. I am interested in finding someone to have a casual but ongoing sexual relationship with. Specifically, I am interested in better learning how to communicate about sex with another person. I have had two serious and ongoing sexual relationships with boyfriends, but I struggle with being able to communicate openly and honestly when it comes to physical intimacy. In the past, I have been worried about hurting my partner’s feelings, which is why I thought it might be more productive to try to get some practice in a more casual context.
I’d like to find someone who is very sex positive and is open to teaching and learning with me. I am especially interested in exploring sexual activities other than vaginal intercourse. I am not opposed to intercourse eventually, but I think the dominant culture around sex misses out on a lot of important stuff (especially for women) because it is overly focused on vaginal intercourse.
I don't really expect that this craigslist ad will work, but I figured it was worth posting in case the right person turns up!
