That is disgusting! He should be ashamed of himself and be penalized. I have had two sexual harassment situations on a flight. The first time it was the typical situation when a man tries to start a seemingly innocent conversation with a woman, and uses their responsive friendliness as leverage to begin acting inappropriately. This man was bald with liver spots and glasses. After a conversation about my height and sports playing, he began looking me up and down, and then opening and closing his legs just to barely feel his leg brushing next to my leg. I was scared, and disgusted. I wanted to move but I didn’t want to cause a scene. I also wanted to stab him in his face after that.
Another situation: I’m on the plane and this man who’s breath smelled terrible even more-so because he was trying to cover it up with some minty gum, was just being nasty in his aura and disposition. He tried to force me to interact with him with another stale conversation about my height and me playing sports. Then he started rubbing on his thighs and just being a creep. I pressed myself against the window as hard as possible so that I could not breath in his stank-breath air.
I completely feel for your situation. That is very disturbing and one day I hope to start an organization that aims to protect women and appropriately avenge women who experience even the most subtle forms of harassment, molestation, rape, and inappropriate behavior, from events such as these. No matter how petty these situations sound, they have the power to break women down and ruin lives.
