Introduction:

In this guide, we will show you how to buy TerraFloki tokens ($TFLOKI) in the most cost efficient manner, starting from the most popular centralised cryptocurrency exchange — Binance.

  1. Create Terra Station Wallet

The first step will be to install a wallet dedicated to the Terra ecosystem called Terra Station. In terms of user experience, Terra Station is very similar to the MetaMask wallet you know, but in our opinion it is more pleasant to use. However, if you already have a Terra Station wallet set up, please go to chapter 2.

To download the extension go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/terra-station/aiifbnbfobpmeekipheeijimdpnlpgpp and then click “Add to Chrome” and “Add extension” in the popup window. The browser will download and install Terra Station automatically.

Figure 1. Chrome extension — Terra Station page
Figure 2. Chrome extension — Terra Station installation

In the top right corner of the browser you should find a new blue satellite icon.

Figure 3. Chrome extension — Terra Station icon

By clicking on the Terra Station extension icon, a new window will appear. To create a new account on the wallet, click “New wallet” and fill in the form below. Remember to create a strong password and write down a Seed phrase (14 words). This is very important because if you lose access to your device, you will be able to recover your wallet using a seed phrase. If you have completed the form and entered the seed phrase, click “Next” to proceed.

Figure 4. Terra Station — New wallet

Terra Station checks to ensure that the user has noted down seed phrase, so in the next step it will ask us to enter two seed phrase words from the 24 given. Once you have filled in the inputs, click “Create a wallet”..

Figure 5. Terra Station — Confirm your seed phrase

Congratulations! You are now an owner of a Terra Station wallet!

Now you can optionally add a $TFLOKI token to your wallet by clicking “Add token” and entering the TerraFloki token address in the popup window.

2. Buy UST using Binance Smart Chain (first option)

2 (a). Add Binance Smart Chain (BSC) to MetaMask

Now that you have set up your Terra Station wallet, let’s go to yourMetaMask wallet, where we will set up the network through which we will send funds in the cheapest and fastest way via the Binance Smart Chain network.

Click the MetaMask icon and go to the list of available networks. Due to the fact that Binance Smart Chain is not the default network, we have to enter it manually by clicking “Custom RPC”. Now you can fill in the data with the following data:

Network Name: Binance Smart Chain

New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/

Chain ID: 56

Optionally you can put:

Currency Symbol: BNB

Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

Figure 8. MetaMask — Connect to Binance Smart Chain network

Now check if you are on the correct network (Binance Smart Chain). This is evidenced by the name of the network at the top of the MetaMask window. Copy your address by clicking on the place marked on the screenshot and go to the next chapter where we will buy and transfer BNB cryptocurrency.

Figure 9. MetaMask — Copy address

2 (b). Buy and Transfer BNB

We assume that you have used the Binance exchange before and that you will be able to buy the BNB cryptocurrency. If you already have BNB cryptocurrency in your wallet on the Binance exchange, go to the ‘Withdraw Crypto’ tab and complete the form below. It is important that you enter the correct address of your wallet, which we created in the previous chapter. Select Network “BSC Binance Smart Chain (BEP20)”, enter how much BNB cryptocurrency you would like to transfer to buy TFLOKI and click Withdraw.

Figure 10. Binance — Withdraw BNB cryptocurrency

A security verification window will pop up. Make sure again that you have entered the correct amount of BNB, address and network. In order to verify the withdrawal, you will need two OTP codes, from your e-mail and SMS.

Figure 11. Binance — Security verification
Figure 12. Binance — Transfer confirmation

Once the codes are correctly entered, Binance will transfer BNB directly to your MetaMask wallet.

Figure 13. Binance — Withdrawal result

After a few minutes, the funds you sent should reflect as part of your BNB balance on your MetaMask wallet.

2 ( c). Swap BNB for Wrapped UST

In this chapter, let’s convert your BNB to Wrapped UST. The wrapped UST reflects the stablecoin UST from Terra on the Binance Smart Chain.

Figure 15. 1inch — Connect MetaMask wallet

Therefore, we will use a decentralized 1inch exchange that will easily convert your coins. Go to https://app.1inch.io/#/56/swap/BNB/UST and connect your MetaMask wallet using the “Connect Wallet” button.

Select the Binance network and MetaMask as your wallet. Sign the Terms & Conditions. The beginning and the end of your MetaMask address will appear in the upper right corner, which means that you are correctly connected to the 1inch application.

Enter the amount of BNB you want to convert to UST. REMEMBER! Leave a minimum of 3$ BNB in your wallet for further transactions! Then click Swap and go through all required confirmations.

2 (d). Transfer UST through the bridge

With Wrapped UST on your MetaMask, we will transfer UST from Binance Smart Chain to Terra using Terra Bridge (https://bridge.terra.money/). Connect your MetaMask wallet by clicking “Connect Wallet” as we did in previous chapters with other applications.

Figure 22. Terra Bridge — Connect Wallet

On the left side set “BSC” (the network we send from) and on the right side “Terra” (the network we send to). Mark “Asset” as “UST”, enter the amount you want to send and enter the “Destination Address” which is your address from your Terra Station wallet which we chapter one. Each address from Terra Station starts with “terra”. If you think that the data you entered is correct, go to (Next) and confirm the transaction (2x Confirms).

3. Buy UST using TerraSwap (alternative option)

An alternative option to buy $TFLOKI is usingLUNA and TerraSwap, where we jump directly from Binance to the Terra network. This option is only available if Binance allows withdrawals.

3 (a). Buy LUNA

First, let’s go to the Binance Market (https://www.binance.com/en/markets) and enter LUNA in Binance’s coin search tool . In the list at the bottom we will get all the pairs available for trading. In the example we will use the LUNA / USDT pair which is the most popular choice. To go to trading, click “Trade”.

Figure 28. Binance — Market page — LUNA pairs

A SPOT window will appear where we can buy LUNA. Enter the amount and price you are interested in and click “Buy LUNA”.

Figure 29. Binance — SPOT — LUNA/USDT

3 (b). Withdraw LUNA to Terra Station wallet

In your Binance wallet (https://www.binance.com/en/my/wallet/account/main) under LUNA, click “Withdraw”. The website should take you to crypto withdrawals where you should fill in information such as account address. Copy it from the extension, Terra Station wallet. Remember! The address starts with “terra”. Then enter the amount of LUNA you would like to withdraw and click “Withdraw”.

Figure 30. Binance — Wallet
Figure 31. Binance — Withdraw page

Proceed to the next steps where you accept the transaction. Check if all the data is correct. In the meantime, the “Security verification” window will appear where you will be required to enter the OTP code from the email and SMS.

Figure 31. Binance — Security verification

If you have gone through the entire withdrawal process in the “Recent Withdrawals” section below, you should see transactions with a status of “Processing”.

Figure 32. Binance — Recent withdrawals

Depending on how quickly Binance completes the transaction, LUNA will appear on your Terra Station as shown in the screenshot below.

3 ( c). Swap LUNA -> UST on TerraSwap

Now we will use the TerraSwap platform (https://app.terraswap.io/#Swap). Connect the wallet with the “Connect Wallet” button and then in the “Swap” tab, in the first “From” position, select LUNA, enter the amount you would like to exchange and then select UST in the “To” input. To swap, click “Swap” and confirm the transaction with your Terra Station wallet.
