I was with you until you got to “salacious.”

“ Franks has made salacious claims about the porosity of the southern U.S. border before. In 2014, he said that the militant group ISIS had operations running in Ciudad Juarez, a claim that a senior U.S. law enforcement officialsaid had no basis in reality.”

I do not think this word means what you think it means. If you want us to take your articles seriously, either use words you really know or look up the ones you think sound impressive.
