Interesting ways in which digital platforms differ from Print !

Reading through the chapters, some interesting things stood out to me, as far as some of the ways that digital platforms and text are different. When it comes to digital platforms; they are actually at a disadvantage because of the lack of portability. Most of us think that in this age of technology that we can access the news, or anything through our mobile device. However, even though it may be true at times, in reality we are limited to what we can see and experience because of space and sometimes time. Everyone cannot always look at their phone and check this/that website or blog. Although if it was a newspaper, sometimes in my opinion it would be held to a different standard.

Another thing that stood out to me, was the way things are laid out. When it comes to the digital word, if things are not laid out in a way that is clear to the reader or properly organized, people are more likely to look over what has been presented to them. The passage labeled as Plain English Wanted in my opinion, basically states that in order for us to have an effective site, our writing has to be plain and very transparent. Looking at some articles in the U.S. compared to others overseas, they can have the same topic however, the language has changed. The writing is very straightforward.
