Does Your LinkedIn Profile Get You the Results You Want?

If not, then it’s time to update your profile!

Is your ideal client on LinkedIn? Are you? If they are, and you are, then you need to have a profile that showcases your expertise, positions you as an expert in your field and grabs the attention of your ideal client.

To piggy-back off a previous post about taking advantage of the LinkedIn publishing platform, I wanted to talk about another area of LinkedIn that is sadly, often neglected. Your profile! You need a profile with a great summary that speaks to your ideal client — one that lets them know you get them, and not only understand their pain, but have the solution. You need a profile loaded (not overloaded) with great keywords that will drive visitors to your website.

It’s amazing how many business owners have incomplete LinkedIn profiles. They leave out crucial contact information, or don’t know how to strategically add their website and other URLs to the contact area so they are clickable and not static. They don’t take full advantage of the number of skills you can add. Did you know you can add up to 50 skills, and it’s a good idea to duplicate some of those skills based on the different keywords someone might use to find you? Then there is the area to add your education, your past experience, and even rich media to showcase your skills and expertise.

You need a complete profile.

If you’re trying to attract the attention of your ideal client and don’t have a great profile, you’re throwing money down the drain in missed opportunities and are missing the boat. If you do have a kick-butt LinkedIn profile, great! If not … you need one.

If you want to attract your ideal client but don’t have a great profile, you’re missing the boat.

If you’d like to chat about your out-of-date, lackluster profile, I’d be happy to schedule a complimentary discovery session with you to show you what we can do!
