@ @lto : Qualitative research through community narrative(???) — whatever the hell that means — apparently, your esoteric teacup — reading-comp? (not so much). Lemme try to bring you up to speed. Per my first sentence, I simply acknowledged I was not immediately affected by her tribulations, and she made it quite clear she was obviously focused in on that- fully- herself! Every sentence in my post was composed with the health and welfare of other unsuspecting individuals in mind with whom the young lady may come in contact — short or long term. If you read her lead article (that’s not to suggest you would have understood it, but I have to rely on you as a sentient adult somewhere along the line here) you might conclude she devoted 100% of her prose, expounding on her ‘condition’, her state of mind, and how this affected her and her own personal future — but not one binary bit on how she viewed her responsibility going forward, toward innocent folks crossing intimate paths with her in days to come.

I debated whether to inject myself into this subject — having known someone very well who was unwittingly exposed to the disease as a result of his partner abdicating her responsibility (in other words, transmission of the disease can readily, stealthfully and unhappily occur — permanently!). I decided to jump in and remind her, since she chose not to inform the reader herself - that she understood, appreciated and was exercising what we all, I think, agree is her responsibility. Before you get on your high horse again and begin pontificating, take my advice and READ.

Also, please go back through my initial commentary and isolate, with an unerring degree of precision, where I may have attempted to “shame and blame” the author. I recognize that your life’s ‘work’ trades in a vernacular replete with that ‘special’ lexicon and verbiage — so those particular terms habitually jump off your keyboard in all directions. For people who function within the limited range and capability of a hammer, they try to make everything look like a nail. Those ‘people’ are often reflexive products of poor reading comprehension!
