It was not much of a storm. A lot of fuss from the weather experts and TV folks. But nothing to write home about. 10 to 12 inches.

But they closed the shop and I got the day off. My brothers and I shoveled out mom’s driveway. And then something good happened; we sat in her dining room, had coffee, and no one got into a fight. We just had a nice little chat and then went on about our day.

I am greatful for that little meeting. Family diners abs do forth can be. ..trying. But for now, I live in the now.
