It’s called Badging

When a cop flashes his badge to a fellow cop, in hopes of getting off the hook, it is known as “Badging”.
It is asking for professional concideration. Hey, let me slide, we are brothers, or sisters, or siblings.
My pastor once put on his clerical collar after being pulled over. Hoping the cop would not want to get God angry.
“Did it work.”
“No, he gave me a ticket,” Pastor said, “he must have been an atheist.”
Recently, a friend of mine, was stopped for speeding. When the officer called it in, he found out my friend is a cop.
“I am going to let you off with a warning, this time, but I should think a fellow officer would know better. It is up to us to set an example.”
Some guys tend to give scoldings.
“Here’s your ticket and a lecture, go and sin no more.”
I was pulled over just as I crossed the state line. The young woman handed over my ticket, told me to have a safe day and left before I could make any kind of excuse or sob story. It was a ‘speed trap’. She had more truckers to nab. I looked at the hill and my load. No way I was speeding! All I had to do was show up for court, in a month, on a work day, one hundred miles from home. Fight the ticket, if I lost; pay full fine. Or, pay half for early payment. Racket? I think so!
I asked my cop friend if he would let me off the hook if I told him I sponsor a cop in AA.
He laughed and said, “no, but it might make a good cartoon.
I hope he was right. Your honor, I submit the above drawing, marked exhibit ‘A’. Or, would that be exhibit AA?
