Remote server

Find your php.ini:

php -i | grep php.ini

Add next lines:

xdebug.remote_enable=1
xdebug.remote_autostart=1
xdebug.remote_handler="dbgp"
xdebug.remote_port=9000
xdebug.remote_connect_back=1

Add XDebug extension to your browser and enable it (“debug” icon).

Visual Studio Code

{"name": "remote XDebug","type": "php","request": "launch","port": 9000,"pathMappings": {"/var/www/your-site": "${workspaceRoot}",}},

Then start debugging process and refresh browser page when your site is opened.
