Why You Should Create Valuable Content As Often As Possible

It’s An Important Reason Involving Mental Health

Writing and posting valuable content as often as possible is important for many reasons.

If you’ve been following me for some time now, you know that my health kicks my rear end too often. I am almost always dealing with something.

But, I know that focusing on my health too much will rob me of more than I’m willing to admit.

A couple of days ago, I thought about the importance of writing and posting valuable content— it’s one way to live out your purpose if you feel that writing is your purpose.

Believe me when I say that I’ve dealt with depression and anxiety my entire life and struggled with it as a child, in my teen years, my twenties, and even in my thirties.

It wasn’t until my late thirties that I asked myself this question: What can I contribute that would be meaningful and beneficial for not only myself but others as well?

Spreading myself too thin and doing too much to prove the point that I could do great things wasn’t the answer. I didn’t want to throw nonsense out on social media and hope something stuck. But that’s how I was living for far too long.

These days, when I create, write, or post anything, I question its value and what it could offer others — that’s what got me into teaching online and creating content as often as possible.

Creating content, of any kind, on and offline, is essential for your mental health. It provides a sense of accomplishment and purpose.

Purpose-based living trumps depression, anxiety, worry, and other negative emotions.

Being creative quiets the mind and has the power to alter your mood and change your whole day and life.

Living out your purpose makes waking up every day worthwhile. Here is an example of how creating valuable content affects me.

Back in August, I drew a portrait of someone’s pet. Around that time, I felt a calling to do that for someone I know. She shared my drawing then, but I didn’t share it on my social media because it was a gift for her.

Recently, I found out that her pet had passed away and my heart broke for her. She shared my drawing again a few days ago when I was at my lowest of low and couldn’t work. What she wrote above my drawing moved me to tears.

It was a reminder of how precious and short life is and that everything is a gift. Each of us has a gift, and it’s important to share it for the sake of ourselves and others.

When I create something, it positively impacts me, and I hope it positively impacts someone else, too.

When I write something, and it gets comments, I view those as messages from the universe. I view comments as insights from others I might not have gained myself.

Creating and posting valuable content is an exercise for the mind and brain. It can change or affect how you feel about yourself. It can benefit depression and anxiety.

Living on purpose is the most effective way to live.

Concluding Thoughts

Writing and posting content regularly comes with many rewards and benefits.

Whether you’re sharing knowledge on a subject you’re passionate about or being an advocate, sharing valuable content boosts our mental and emotional health and well-being.

Purpose-based living trumps my depression and anxiety.

As much as I hate dealing with my health, creating valuable content puts me in the driver’s seat of my existence and makes me feel like a whole person.
